FSFD006 Song Title: How Do I Bless You, Lord? – Psalm 145 (If you don’t have a Bible handy, you can read this passage at BibleGateway.com)

How do I bless You, Lord? After all that you’ve done for me.

How do I bless You, Lord? After all that you’ve done for me.

When I worship? When I follow? When I praise you? Tell about You?

As I search for Your mystery. May I know You like You know me.

Help me know You like You know me.

How do I bless You, Lord? After all that you’ve done for me.

How do I bless You, Lord? After all that you’ve done for me.

40 Songs for 40 Days – Day 2

Please see the March 5, 2014 Ash Wednesday post for the introduction to this series.

Note: In many churches alleluias are not sung until after Lent due to the solemn  nature of this time in the church year. If you are of that opinion this song could be sung with a change of title and lyrics to “Thanks be to Jesus” where “Shout Hallelujah!” is written.

FSFD002 Song Title: Shout Hallelujah! – Psalm 22:22-24 (If you do not have a Bible handy you can go to BibleGateway.com to read this passage.)

Shout hallelujah! Give glory and adore Him.

Never lets us down. Never looks away.

Shout hallelujah! Give glory and adore Him.

Always here for us. With us everyday.

Shout hallelujah! Give glory and adore Him.

Shout hallelujah! Shout hallelujah!

“40 Songs for 40 Days” – Ash Wednesday

40 Songs for 40 Days By B. Evans © 2011

Psalm 33:1-5 says to sing joyfully to the lord, to praise Him, and to sing to Him a new song for his word is right and true, He is faithful in all He does, He loves righteousness and justice, and the earth is full of His unfailing love. Jesus Christ, Son of God, died for our sins. He gave all. What can we hope to give back? I wish to offer, with this song collection, a daily time of singing and reflection on God’s word for the 40 days of Lent or to remember the 40 days that Jesus was on earth after He rose from the dead until He ascended into heaven. I plan each day  to listen to the song, read the related scripture passages, and then sing along with the song. Please join me! Whatever your use of this material, I pray that it is a blessing!

FSFD001 Song Title: The Lord Is – 2 Samuel 22:1-4 (If you do not have a Bible handy you can go to BibleGateway.com to read this passage.)

The Lord is my rock, and the Lord is my fortress. And He delivers me.

The Lord is my shield, and the Lord is my stronghold. From evil He saves me.

He is the Lord, who is worthy. I call on Him night and day.

He is the horn of salvation. He hears my cries and my praise.

The Lord is my rock, and the Lord is my fortress. And He delivers me.

The Lord is my shield, and the Lord is my stronghold. From evil He saves me.

His power saves me.
