May the Lord be with us all and be our great Comforter. Today’s hymn reminds us that after Jesus Christ ascended into heaven He sent His children the Holy Spirit, “from heaven, the Father’s promise given.” The lyrics say, “Wherever human hearts and human woes abound …..The Comforter has come!”
Scripture:
John 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever.
Romans 8:26 So too the Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.
